chasing happiness

At times it feels like I’ve lived entire lifetimes.

I haven’t decently coded anything from scratch (html, css, js, etc.) in years; Something I did every day professionally from sun up to down, day in and out. If you want to get my sense of humor and see mediocre skills… here’s got junk?—a collection of what I find funny. It updates when I add to the somewhat endless scroll of weirdness.

“I cross out words so you will see them more; the fact that they are obscured makes you want to read them.”

— Jean-Michel Basquiat

Oh, thinking back to the code-monkey job stresses me out already. I love(d) coding, obsessively even. I’d heard cautionary tales about trading passions for money. Yeah, I’m that cautionary tale. I gained weight—that’s what a desk job does—sitting in front of a screen, indoors on lovely days, and my mental health stock plummeted.

It wasn’t the first time, I’d done it prior with art and quickly halted, the project is still on hiatus to this very day. 3rd time’s the charm?!

It is far less exciting writing about healthy habits and choices. I just about cut everything out, besides YouTube.

I’ve been counting macros, drinking tea, not being too quick to judge (to the best of my ability), and limiting unproductive time sinks—that I am aware of. And most of all saying no. What am I after? if it’s not… (there’s a whole movie about it) The Pursuit of Happyness. I think it’s easy to complicate the journey.

umm seems straightforward

But my video recommendation algorithm somewhat ensures a good bill of health. I learned: that neurosurgeons might have to learn spinal surgery because of the down-time in their specialty

.. it’s the internet anyone can say anything about anything. granted, Dr. Goobie offers a sound perspective
(my) Notes from the video:
sans the neurosurgeons’ life story
  1. you can’t cheat a good diet, whole foods, hydration not drinking your sugar, a low-salt diet, lots of veggies almost vegan-low meat intake
  2. get outside, walk daily, do things that make you sweat
  3. get 8 hours of quality sleep and watch stress levels. most of all be present
  4. no smoking. minimize alcoholic bevies

Take everything with a grain of salt
