As June closes and the last-half of the year quickly approaches, I want to share posts I had pleasure (re)visiting during the first-half. Scroll to find a selection from my blogroll.
At this moment, I am making every attempt to convince myself that I’ve run out of things to ponder on, weighted under the growing amount of drafts I have yet to bring myself to edit.
To ease the tension, I prefer to review thoughts and questions I have sat with for years.
What does it mean to have a name?
Names like April, May, August, October (marginally), and June come to mind. Perhaps, of all the days, Wednesday fits as a name, while the rest (besides Sunday‽) pale in comparison; To think if Wednesday (Friday) Addams, was say Saturday Addams. Would I think of days differently?
I hate to flood you with more questions… but- I didn’t say I wouldn’t.
With questions, I am able to edge closer to balance between perspective in part of a search and self-realizing growth. “See the world,” they say. Who is they? [People who have traveled -or those who wish they had..]
Why travel?
As a way to expand, consider travel… even down the street, around the corner. I did-not-mention the edge of the earth. If you are willing to look beyond sameness, anywhere that isn’t the same place from the same vantage, is a different face.
In view, I can travel the world from your eyes driven by your words and seen through the nuance, until the next stop–in this case, the end of a post. I tend to find parts of my own undefined existence toiling in desire, angst, joy, and more.
The internet is weird, and people are even weirder–embrace the latter, because people collectively built the internet for connection, line by line for you and me.
weird
- suggesting something supernatural; unearthly.
- very strange; bizarre
- connected with fate
- a person’s destiny.
- induce a sense of disbelief or alienation in someone.
No singularity. Find people of the internet, preferably not robots.
